Your generosity, and that of
our entire donor community,
ensures we continue to lead
in education and research
excellence, making a lasting
impact on our students, our
State, and society. Thank you.
Breaking new ground, developing knowledge,
and shaping the future have always been central
to our mission and in 2024 our dedication to
excellence was recognised on a global scale,
with the University rising to 82nd in the QS World
University Rankings for 2025 – a testament to our
world-class research and academic standing.
In 2024, as we celebrated our 150th year, we engaged
with more than 1.4 million members of our community,
including donors, students, staff, alumni, partners
and supporters through events and partnerships that
honoured our past and inspire our future. As a valued
member of our community, we are grateful for the
invaluable role you have played in our 150-year history.
In 2024, thanks to the extraordinary support of
our donors and partners, the University received
$23.2 million in philanthropic funds from 1,647
donors, including $12.3 million from trusts and
foundations. This generosity enabled a significant
investment into research and the awarding of 231
donor-funded scholarships, totalling $1.5 million,
providing invaluable financial support to students
and opening doors to new opportunities. Your
support drove groundbreaking research, with
philanthropic investment helping to deliver worldclass outcomes that benefit societies worldwide.
Our alumni community continues to be one of our
greatest assets, with more than 170,000 alumni
across 148 nations making a positive impact in
diverse fields. Their contributions, alongside those
of our academic and professional staff, inspire us
to strive for excellence in everything we do.
Impact of Giving
Thank you
As we look ahead, we are preparing for a bold new
chapter. On 1 January 2026, we will open the doors
to Adelaide University, marking the beginning of
a transformative era in education and research.
With a vision for signature research themes,
innovative new courses, an enhanced student
experience, and a reimagined campus masterplan,
this change will be one of the most significant
in the history of Australian Higher Education.
Your generosity has helped us build a legacy of
impact, and as we continue this journey, we are deeply
grateful for your belief in our mission. Philanthropy
is an investment in education, in the future of our
students, and in the strength of our society. Thank
you for being an essential part of this journey.
